  • Uz.Ahmed Shifau

    (President, Employment Tribunal)


    Uz.Ahmed Shifau was appointed as a Member & President of Employment Tribunal on 14th May 2018. Uz.Ahmed Shifau began his career at Maldives Customs Service in 2004. Since then, he served as Customs Officer Gr.2, chief customs officer and Superintendent. Uz.Ahmed Shifau holds a Master degree in Comparative Law (MCL) from Maldives Islamic University and Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Maldives College of Higher Education. Uz.Ahmed Shifau has been practicing as a lawyer since 2009 and has extensive experience in the private sector worked as an attorney at various law firms. Uz. Ahmed Shifau has been working as a Part time lecturer at Maldives National University (MNU) and Part Time Lecturer of Islamic University of Maldives (IUM). He has also participated in different workshops seminars and trainings relating to different fields.



  • Ms. Mariyam Shamma Ibrahim

    (Member, Tribunal)


    Ms. Mariyam Shamma Ibrahim has been appointed as a tribunal member on 7th January 2014. She has prior experience of working in Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA) and Maldives Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC). She has also worked as a board of director of Maldives Airports Company Limited. Ms. Shamma Ibrahim holds Master in Business Administration from Open University Malaysia and graduated as a “TOP graduating student”. She holds her first degree in Business Management from Bangalore University, India. She has also participated in different workshops, seminar and trainings related to labour and other areas.



  • Ms. Mariyam Rishfa

    Member, Tribunal


    Ms. Mariyam Rsihfa was appointed as a member of Employment Tribunal on 7th August 2016. Prior to the appointment as a Member of Tribunal, she has experience in Education Sector as a qualified teacher at Center for Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Part Time lecturer at Maldives National University(MNU) and guest lecturer at College of Islamic Studies, Leading Teacher at Maldivian Education and Cultural Centre(MECC) in Srilanka. Moreover, she has contributed her service in other areas in education sector and Ministry of Education (Moe) Ms. Rishfa holds Master’s Degree in Shari’a and Law, Honors degree in Bachelors of Islamic Studies and Post Graduate Diploma in Islamic Education. In addition to those, she works as a facilitator for teacher’s professional development and carry out Seminars, research works and works shops in area of Islamic studies.
